Seeing such quotes like the following makes me wonder:

wow 50 pearls. i think seeing a troll has more chance

Not a L5 troll, no.

Are people really actually selling the skull for this price? 50 pearls are getting close to the actual LP value the troll skull has. Well, they give you around 75% of the skulls LP used as curios not to mention their value in necklaces and Rings of Brodgar. Pearls also have a much, much higher LP/hour average than the skull. I would never ever waste 50 pearls on a skull and find such values absolutely far off from realistic. So I am asking the traders here about this example in particular, but also about their experiences in other trades. Did you ever actually sell a skull for 50 pearls? How often? Are there other items you find oddly priced, items that don't go well, items that go better than their actual value in materials might indicate at first etc.?

Just a thread about generally accepted trade prices and if those accepted prices really make as much sense as it seems they do.

For example, base lp 360%.

1 Pearls = 18 000 exp
1 Troll Skull = 1 577 441 exp

1 troll = 87 pearls, everytime to put in study your pearls is annoying.

Good players learning pearls and this way is easier. Start to play and you'll understand what's going on in the game.

.........................................................................................................50
but lets say pearl probablity is 1/100. the probablity of finding 50 mussels would be 1/100

lets also take into account that pearls make some of the best items in the game.
lets also take into account that a troll skull at lvl5 is extremely fucking rare.

its a fair trade, but not one likely to be made

I played this game three times as much and three times as successful as you, so shut up about that. You got kicked up and down the hearthlands by my villages once too much it seems. This is not the point of this topic and I am allowed to ask any kind of question I want. That is what the forums are for.

You are basically already contradicting yourself there. If good players are learning pearls (and annoying really doesn't count, you are using a study bot anyway, dont tell me you are not) then why would they buy the skull? The numbers are just supporting my argument so I am asking has anyone ever paid you 50 pearls for a skull?

Edit: Just to clarify this since you guys would even think I am gunning against you if I made a thread about how the easter bunny isn't real: I am trying to open up a general discussion on prices. Many things seems to be taken for granted right now, but when I look through the trade topics I often feel like I wouldn't pay so much for a certain product, or that I as a trader would even charge more for some things. So this is supposed to be a platform for traders as well as customers to voice their opinions. The example at hand was just the latest that let me have such thoughts.

The troll bones would be far more valuable than a troll skull in my honest opinion as it used to create a very high quality bone saw which leads to better boards and herbalist tables. Then with better trees from better herbalist tables, I can use another trollbone to make a better bonesaw but this time from better quality tree branches. Also a strong bone saw is excellent fuel maker for both board and charcoal for better quality weapons and armor.

If we are to dissect this into LP worth, I would prefer to use the pearls to make necklaces. The trollbone would give a large burst of LP to one target which is not as valuable as splitting off your LP to different characters essentially avoiding putting your eggs in one basket. This is assuming that you are not turning your pearls into necklaces which will benefit in the long run through an alt factory.

So in otherword, I do not find much value in a troll skull. Not sure if anyone else shares my opinion thouggh.

HAHAHA. This thread prove that your pain doesn't subside, again following to my topic and again negative.

About success. I killed so many times your farmers that lost count and didn't create new topics about it like you, where 50 farmers have come to kill one person a bug while he sleeps, that is your success? :D I have better items that can provide your farmers, again success? I tired to remember that you. You should really stopping to write this every time: i have facts, you didnt only empty talks.

You are basically already contradicting yourself there. If good players are learning pearls (and annoying really doesn't count, you are using a study bot anyway, dont tell me you are not) then why would they buy the skull?

What a contradiction? :) Show me a number of it?
1) 1 Pearls = 18 000 exp
2) 1 Troll Skull = 1 577 441 exp
3) 1 troll = 87 pearls, everytime to put in study your pearls is annoying.
4) 87 pearls - 127 hours non stop putting on bot if you have (I didnt)
5) skull 5*24=120 hours without putting + can use a tea at the end.
you are using a study bot anyway, dont tell me you are not

Again slander, again without proofs, again empty talks. And I will tell you this everytime, because I like it when your lie is visible to all.

The numbers are just supporting my argument so I am asking has anyone ever paid you 50 pearls for a skull?

I didn't talks about my customers and prefer that my trade was confidential. I dont need PR and rumors.

Stop your personal hate on me now. This isn't the topic for it. You may tell me all this nonsense (You didn't ever kill a single person I know, sorry) in a pm if you are feeling so strong about it, but this thread is to discuss trade prices. Thank you.
