rude people

Postby hazzor » Tue Feb 28, 2012 2:10 pm

does anyone else get really annoyed when someone doesn't respond to a friendly greeting, i'll see someone in a boat and say hi and they'll go to the riverside pick up and hearth... it's rare to see other people and no one ever makes use of the event, i like to exchange recent happenings and warn people about dangerous places...

Nothing wrong with saying hi. People are way too fucking paranoid.
If they are not staring at you, they are not aiming at you. If they are not holding a sword AND wearing a straw hat, you can probably stay and chat.

I go out of my way to help the ones that don't run away.

I was passing by a different river system the other day and a newb was outside his wood fence and ran inside, I called out hello and I won't hurt you. He came up the fence and we had a little chat. I brought him a boat.

I understand this, when i was really new i did the same thing. Its a gamble do you hang around and get pwned or maybe just maybe you bumped into a nice person - some people dont want to take the chance.

Reading other posts about noobs raging because someone came along and killed them (the noob said hi but paid the price).

Also saying "wait wait i wont hurt you" wont help either because griefers and other scum say the same thing to earn your trust and kill you.

Best thing to do is keep some distance away, and just ask them what theyre doing. A guy came by when i was fishing and i was ready to abandon the boat and fuck off out of there, but then he said "what you fishing?", i replied "dunno im using leeches", then he said "ahh insta-fish, well good luck, fair well".
This made me more trusting and confident when dealing with other people i didnt know.

Lol Hazzor if you KO newbs they will think their paranoia was justified.

I shoot any noob who comes in 5 metres of me. I do this for my protection if I see them as a threat but generally I am nice to everyone :)
