Inventory box since my frosting was being obnoxious, filled with q20 pearls. It's a chocolate cake, filled with whipped cream and strawberry, and then frosted with buttercream btw.

OP is a German descended American, but close I guess. Visigoth/Hessian blood and all. However, you are very correct on the heritige of the confection, it's a French tradition that spread to America, and is quite popular over here.
