Death to lag

Alright, so I had been working on a char for a while now, and when I was out hunting I saw an anthill. I thought, oh yeah? And I went for it. Switched to run, right clicked and selected raid, ready to run off and lure the ants away, my character ran there, stopped at the anthill and just kept on doing the run animation. I couldn't click away, then the client closed. I just thought to myself, well shit.
I started it up again, and sure enough, my character is no more.
I had full change, so that's pretty much everything gone, including ~20k of curios.

Anyone had similar experiences?

If your character died to ants (even due to lag), you were asking for it. Armor is a wonderful thing.

The character was new. I started playing HnH a week or so ago, so the best amour I had was made from nettles.

Hmm, also my expmod seems to have reduced from 360% to 120% :/

Nah, it's part of the game, and lag is a natural part of f2p indie games. Plus it's all about the experience.
