Life in the Peaceful SG

Postby Ninijutsu » Sun Apr 01, 2012 8:49 am

I visited a friend in the peaceful SG today, and I was absolutely baffled by how different the playstyle must be here. In my supergrid, when I see someone I don't know I try to murder them immediately. I saw a noob today on the other side of the river, and when I swam over to him he just said hello. And the fact that I couldn't kill him absolutely ripped me apart from the inside.

How has live in the peace SG affected how you act?
Of another era.

i went there to see a friend, and wandered abt and saw people doing jobs around their palisades and responding with hi back isntead of trying to get away, even though i dont do anything to them. it makes a nice change

Man, this sounds like life back in w3, except we had more than enough room to roam around instead of being packed in like sardines. (Because everyone was afraid of getting bashed in and summoned for the 10% of total LP earned a murder kill was worth.)
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I was once followed by three linen wearing nubs around there while I was hunting, They kept spamming random crap and I wanted to kill them oh so badly But I couldn't..

Though eventually a bear got one, That is my only closure from this traumatic event.

I do know what you mean when you see someone and can't do anything.

Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!

If idiots wont leave you alone then just swim a river and watch them try and copy. I love the sound of how the peaceful SG is turning out. New players are coming in fast with the puplisity of Salem and it is great they can have an ares where they can hermit and grow and learn the skills they need to become useful players.

what do you mean by peaceful supergrid?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

This.

Makes little difference to me. Except they hearth less.

And I guess I won't be attacked by DA deathsquads :p.

But really it doesn't affect my playstyle barely at all. The only scents I've found in my grid recently point to random newbs who just need to be talked to briefly or Dis/Ainran anyway.

Killing linen noobs loses its enjoyability after about the 20000th rage-quit due to your jack-assery. I don't kill people unless that attack me first or at least have a bearcape and SOME type of robe/weapon on
