Laketown information and recruitment

Postby sami1337 » Sat May 30, 2009 12:07 am

Laketown is a town arguably the first real town in Haven & hearth originally founded by me, sami1337 aka Wanderer but was quickly joined by other people. What started as one of the first settlements by people brought in through websites such as indiegames.com soon evolved into a town constantly filled with people working and socialising.
We quickly realised we were the ones leading in development of the game itself.
With the work on the rome road project we tried to set a new standard for road construction and development.

What first started out as a place to learn to play evolved in one of the bigger and most organised towns in the game.
Over time population shrunk and only the most reliable and trust worthy people stayed. Now we are down to 5 players and struggle to get things done properly. Therefore we are looking to recruit newbies and take them in and teach them a specific tasks such as baking, metal producing, hunting, moth farming and more. As a recruit you will benefit from towns resources. Once fully accepted as town member you get the privilege to wear your own steel armor provided by us once we got any steel made.

Laketown is found west of the Ring of Brodgar. That's the lower right corner of your screen.

The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

I will probably head over there once I become self-reliant. I had a rude-awakening when I went wondering on my own. For some reason I struggle even killing foxes even though I am melee level 6. So once they agro'd me, I didn't stand a chance and now I lost my armor.. so once I am able to construct more chainmail, I will be sure to head over there and check it out.. and (hopefully) avoid the danger along the way.

Edit: nevermind, I made it. My Hearthfire is nearby yours :)

Nice and yeah, i have the fox problem too sadly. And i don't yet have the resources to properly craft metal armour. Need more tea and trees for that one. But i found going in and out a building or mine enables me to avoid foxes. Added to that, they can't walk on water.

Right now i can't really login..meh

None of use can, but we have our own methods to deal with them. A bit creativity.

I have also found my way to your encampment (I think) it looks abandoned now, but I will place my hearth fire and hopefully I will some day cross timezones with one of you :)
