Greetings!

Hello everyone.

I apologize beforehand if this is posted in the wrong section.

I just started playing with my GF, littlebrother and a couple of friends.. So far we've seen no other people (Luckily?(Afraid to get raped)), so I thought I'd drop a message on the forum instead.. We've been playing for the past 3 - 4 days now, so far as peaceful farmers, seeing as anything else would be suicide, judging from the forums. Just thought I'd greet everyone.

Oh yeah, I found out about this game through Salem, which I'm very much looking forward to. :)

If you're going to farm and don't realy know much about the game.
get your exploration up you'll need it as well as get the skill forging.
Get your farming up as well for better quality seeds, and if you find people if you don't already have Carrot seeds try to find some with forging windsown seeds and drying them to get other various seeds.

Build a chicken coop as if you are growing pumpkins it become verry easy to house and feed chickens as pumpkins when harvested and slice give you 8pumpkin slices good for food and 8 seeds
pumpkins take a week or so to grow but well worth if grown in numbers.

Hi, welcome to the community and the game. Here, you'll find a collection of trolls, noobs who rage, and all around cool guys. I hope you enjoy your stay and prolong it as long as possible. In general, the community here welcomes new players but we tend to shift to the no-no side when they start complaining about dying. As long as you remember the Golden Rule, "Losing is Fun!", I'm sure you'll find this game to be enjoyable to spend time on in your free hours.

If you have any questions throughout your experience feel free to shoot me a PM or ask in the How Do I? section of the forums. There is also a great Wiki run by the community. Please read the stickies, and once again, enjoy the game. =D

Poster above me is a noob troll who raegs all the time

j/k. mvpeh is one of the better posters around here and is frequently one of the ones helping out the new guys. If you have questions, check out the How Do I? forum and the Public Resources thread stickied here to get to the wiki and join the synirc.net #haven channel.

Thanks for the tips! I've already got perception 19 and exploration around 11 (As I've played the longest (A whole day or two more) I'm our hunter/scout kinda thing), and a few different kind of crop (Carrots, hemp, tobacco, tea, flax, wheat, onions and peas, IIRC). I'll try and get us some pumpkins, as they sound rather useful, especially for our chicken coop! :) ..

@Mvpeh: My brother already suffered death (He got kicked in the face by an aurochs (?), as he was pulling hairs from an entire herd, dying instantly.. I laughed, hard. Him, not so much.) and he quickly recovered, seeing as he didn't lose anything but a few stats trained over a few days. I got mauled on my first character by an angry bear, didn't even get anything up.. I just made a new character and tried again. :) .. I just hope I get to know the combat system a bit better, and get my stats up a bit, before I get attacked so I have some kind of chance to defend myself.

Already keeping the Wiki open in the background at all times, reading it over and over and over.. :P

Another tip - IF you havnt already i suggest getting the modded ender client
along with the graphic mod produced by daji.
If you check on the forums via Wizards tower you can get all the downloads there if you're still not sure i made a ytube video on how to properly get the mods running I.E (Ender client/UPD and grapic mod)

I can give you a link too.
p.s most the time the enderclient 64bit doesnt work for most pc's even if your pc is 64 so i recommend just go ahead and get the 32 bit if you do.

Thanks! I got the Enderclient 64bit and updater working just fine, running the latest version. I did wonder about the graphic mod however, so I will go take a look at once. :)

The graphic mod looks splended if i do say so my self.
better than the original graphics all i can say.
To get them to work you need to download the file and unzip/extract you may need to download a jzip from google and than extract to desktop and just copy the whole folder into the enderclients folder and replace all the files it says theres multiple off and it'l work.
