A Question About How Betting Should be Run

Postby jordancoles » Fri Apr 20, 2012 7:06 pm

I currently have 2 strongboxes setup at the spar arena and the thought behind it being that the tournament prize donations could be stored inside of them. But another use for betting came to mind. 2 people bet on who will win the spar, items stored in the box for the duration of the fight and after the spar ends the winner claims the prize. The only problem with this being that I can't be at the arena 24 hours a day so I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in this system or if it's thought to be a good idea to get box keys to a4o guards also.

Question; Have you thought about possibly using Vendor Stands, with unique codes and names of the competitor on it.

Use a random 10 digit Generator and a word document, make the code, they place a bet on the competitor by buying a piece of parchment with the name and the digits on it.

The extra work is simply to keep others from getting screwed over, and it helps you set the odds, like in a match between Painhertz and Valten, Painhertz would be a 3:1, or a "x:1"

Side bets like "Painhertz puts criminal acts on halfway through the match 1:1" could also be placed.

The guards are the ones donating the prizes.
