Java problem.

I have a problem of not being able to update java.
The reason is I do not have admin rights, and do not want to hack/gain them.
I heard that you can install java on pendrive without need for admin rights.
Is it possible to have two different java applets. One on HDD and one on flash, and pick the one on the flash drive?

no admin rights needed (and hopefully the admin didn't set an environtment path to java on the PC)
