Hunting list Problems

Postby Shizuzu » Sat Jun 02, 2012 3:39 am

I keep a record of every animal I kill (not counting bugs) and now that my hunter has died I was wondering should i continue the record like nothing happened or keep it as a record for my successor to achieve and surpass? Should I make it seem like she has surpassed her ancestor and become a better hunter with each generation or keep it as a personal record of every animal i as the controller have killed in general?

I have 2 coops I don't count those as kills, only if I shoot them in the field or punch them while I'm out hunting and don't have room to bring them home.

Do both.

Just draw a couple simple ass tally charts and flick a line on each one when you get a kill. Or use a word document, whatever.

Sounds like it would get tedious when you're at the point that you can like one shot everything barring bears lol.

you might consider renting a server and creating a sql database on it, that way you're able to use it when you decide to have a farmer and keep track of your seeds and plants too...

You could even mod the client to auto-generate an xml or sql data set from when you're farming...

OP: really, it's up to you. I'd keep a list for each character and then you can always add them together if you want to see a lifetime total. I know people have done more obsessive things in-game.

or better yet make a runestone where you killed the animal.

"RIP Brownie, Deer #225. Killed by Shizuzu"

That way if you ever lose track you can just go around your hunting ground and collect all the runestones.
