Thanks from a noob

I just wanted to say thanks to whoever filled my hobo camp crate with food, windsown seeds and various larvae. I think it may have been my polish neighbor who has helped me in the past. Awesome and thanks to you or whoever.

a rare act of kindness, quite unusual that someone's first post is about this as opposed to "i just died"

I started the game a few days ago with nothing but the warning about being prepared for griefing and death. I log in every time prepared for that and the gift actually freaked me out at first. I just expected that someone had moved in or was waiting for me. The two people I've met in game have been kind but I've been reading the forums now so I'll likely move earlier than planned. I wanted to wait for my pumpkins to grow but that's just how it goes it seems.

Most people are kind. Our impression about other players is coloured by rantings on the forums. So don't freak out if someone is kind.

What do you think how many players (kids) here do know anything about passing the soap dude? :P

The majority of players is nice and helpful ... it's like in RL: bad behaviour makes the news...not the everyday ppl...i love to drop some curios or items in Newbie baskets...
