The good old days

Postby Jfloyd » Thu Oct 15, 2009 1:18 am

Who here remebers when:
-Hiding behind buildings was the safest thing to do
-Hiding peoples stuff behind buildings was a dick move
-You could build a wall of drying racks/kilns, and have Fort Knox
-EVERYONE had steel, and if you lost some, big deal, you'd make more
-The Ring of Brodgar was a basket town
-When Clayshire was a busy place with newbies coming and leaving on a daily basis.
-When tresspassing did 8HHP damage instead of leaving a scent

Feel free to add more.

Ah the days when we had witchhunts for jtg... I'm pretty sure i alone killed 4 of his characters.. and atleast 2 of em were main's...
When everyone didn't trust each other, stealing was rampant and there was no way to prevent it and no way of punishing it after the fact....
When people picked on noobs... and people pretended to be noobs to trick them and kill them... [oh wait.. that still happens]
When foxes were the most terrifying thing in the world... and nothing could say you from our harsh fanged masters... except a wall of drying racks...
When i used to explore and leave messages around labled -The Wanderer
When meeting people seemed somehow unexpected and signifcant...
When griefing was a daily thing.... and no one could do anything to stop it...
When steel was the definition of wealth...
Ect ect

Honestly, the only times i recall right now are either unpleasent ones like being greifed or stolen from or helping those that had been or ones where either I was being attacked, or when i was attacking someone...

Oh how bout that time jon rampaged killing people, and i killed him... or that time raepshire was going around rampaging and i killed him.. or that time jtg was rampaging and i killed him... or that time some random dude was attacking people just for being naked and i killed him... while naked.

- When (all) 3 players online at the same time was something awesome.
- When J&L had just implemented combat w/o telling me and came and ass-raped me.
- When Rift got blamed for stealing 2 full chests of steel from Laketown, but it was actually me.

Remember when someone cut all your trees down, and there was no way for them to grow back?

Lord inaba? something liek that? wasnt that a jtg alt?
I can't remember anymore, all the people killed who were either killed because they were a alt of jtg, or were killed, then claimed afterwards to be a alt of jtg as justification.

ZOMG! that's hilarious.

He got blamed because he told us it was him. IIRC he said he'd sold it to you for something secret and started living with you from that point on.
