Chick-Fil-A: Society Gone Full Retard

Has anyone been reading about this lately? Apparently the owner of Chick-Fil-A (a fast food restaurant chain in the U.S.) made a statement about being against gay marriage. Republicans decided to support him, and they encouraged all goody-goody Christians to eat at local Chick-Fil-A restaurants as part of "Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day." Obviously this pissed off all of the homosexuals and activists, so they decided to throw a shitstorm and protest at Chick-Fil-A restaurants and kiss each other in front of customers just to piss them off. Everywhere I go, I always see cars with signs attached to the windows that are either in support or against Chick-Fil-A.

I'm personally for gay marriage, but this shit's just ridiculous. Both sides have gone full retard.

This entire Chick-Fil-A garbage is just that. Garbage. Who gives a damn if the owner doesn't like homosexual people? It's his damn opinion. Some will say it's a wrong one, others--opposite.

This is what the mass media does to everyone. Makes us live in fear of the world outside. It over-hypes everything. The owner hasn't denied homosexuals from eating at the restaurants, hasn't made any personal stabs at them, so what's the big deal?

All of this is just a job well done on the medias part. They make people hate each other more and more. These times are just crazy. You've got so much shit going on at once.

I recently read a comment from an American citizen who was so proud how America is the first with yet another civil rights movement which is going to make the world a better place.

Guess what guys? Here gay and lesbian marriage is the most normal thing in the world....for years already. How people can be against it is beyond every Europeans mind. Get your shit together man. How are your conservative politicans even meeting with our foreign minister or Berlins mayor? Both are gay and the last time they got into trouble for that was when visiting some backwards arabic 3rd world country. Not the USA, the worlds bestest democracy...lol.

One example of many where people make far too big a deal of an issue that they shouldn't. The media and the people involved.

This is childish. Probably more important things the news could cover, but people just eat this bullshit up like a starving animal huh.

"Causing no harm" is a quite dangerous explanation on why to allow it btw. It should be justified by basic constitutional rights of everyone being equal and free.

The US can be such a shizophrenic country. When the government offers you a health care system then god forbid it has gone too far. But when others are getting married the government needs to put its foot down all of a sudden?

Oh yeah, of course. I wasn't implying that be the reason.

I was just meaning, two homosexuals getting married literally, as far as I can see, causes no harm or damage at all. Besides causing people who are against it to have a big hissy fit. I suppose I don't completely understand why some are so hell bent to deny the right of marriage to gay people.

There was a recent gay marriage bill mentioned on the news last week in my country, 68%, or something slightly less than that said they were against gay people getting married.

I don't know, it's just a bit sad and makes me angry people get denied the right to marry because of ridiculous reasons such as prejudice and ignorance.

There will always be people with their personal qualms. I support gay marriage, but I am also an avid supporter of others not to have to be on my side. Thus, the ways of freedom. American's shouldn't have to support equality, they should support freedom, and with that, equality comes.
