I awoke to quite a scare; a quiet stare from a brown bear.

Hoping it was a dream I fell down, went back to sleep.
Now I ponder from my bed; will I wake up live or dead?

So before I log back in and risk running in a full belly..
Can bears kill me if I'm asleep in a leanto?

Were you aggro'd when you logged off? If yes, then you're probably KO'd or dead. =)

No aggro, I snuck in and out without it noticing me.

Will I gain aggro whilst asleep?

No, your character will still be alive since you said it didn't aggro you.

Unless it agro'd you as you logged out. You stay ingame for a few seconds after you log but it's not very likely if you weren't agro'd before

If that happens again, the best way to deal with it would be to port to your hearth fire (unless that's closer to the bear)
