I've been reading quite a bit of the worlds in the past and the happenings. I started reading some threads in world 3, maybe I should start from World 1. World 3 seemed like an interesting place

Any of the older users feel free to share links to good threads from World 1-5. Also feel free to describe what your role was in it, if you had a role to pay at that time.

Thanks you two (fnf101 and Oddity) - had fun reading those and funny also to see the same people saying the same stuff then about the game as they do now, i.e Burg.

Some things never change i guess.

Except your avatar fnf, i hate it when people change their avatars, lol, i get used to them and it becomes part of your identity to me. (I know thats silly, lol, i've changed mine since i've been here but thats how it feels to me all the same.)
I'll get used to it.

Here is what happens every world:

The first few days are spent rushing Theft only to find out that people have made vaults out of simple log cabins

About a month in, a russian gets enough strength to punch down palisade walls by having 50 other russians forcefully shove bear bangers down their throat. They go around raiding everyone because nobody has a brick wall yet unless you are part of a major faction.

2 months in, everybody and their cactus can punch down palisades with their bear hands (brick walls when they were still destructible by hand). Everybody has a dragon helmet and a sword but prefers to wear noob clothing to lure you into death so they can sell your gear on the forum to make a living.

6 months in, it is now impossible to make a new character unless he is going straight to a village, where he will become a titan in 5 hours because of the new curiosity system. Everybody is swimming in pearls and trading is just for the sake of having something to do.

One year in, some sort of hardware failure will occur and nuke several grids. The world will restart and it will happen all over again.

Ah see, that's where W6 is different though. Since the switch to RAID and a new OS, instead of nuked grids we now get game-crippling, playerbase-killing lag.

My last avatar might have seemed to jerkish to people, I don't want to be thought of like that. This avatar is still Ernest, just him playing the role of an arrogant aristocrat.

Id rather more regular resets with no lag than long worlds with ungodly lag
