As for the community, we're a very diverse group, so don't start pointing fingers. That's what causes wars.
Oh, and just ignore any swasticas you find etched in the ground.
As for the game, yes it's fun, and addicting. The devs are nice guys, Jorb and Loftar.

I'll agree that the community can be a frightening bunch. Griefing and general attitudes of players have encouraged me to live a hermetic life out in the wilderness. Nevertheless, I STILL have people swiping the parchment out of my mail jar.

Don't let that turn you away from HnH, though. Behind the mask of crappy players lies a friendly community and unique game in which you are a part of development. If you don't want to live like a hermit, there are plenty of towns that'd gladly take you in.
