Settlers 2: RTTR

Hey all. If anyone is interested in a good old strategy there is an open source remake of Settlers 2. It is called Return to the Roots and it adds multiplayer (not splitscreen), addons and other stuff- it is completly rewritten. It's a good game to kill some time while waiting for Haven&Hearth getting back on its feet (hopefully). All you need to play the game is the original settlers 2 Gold edition and their mod. Everything is for Free.

(and I can't play them like I used to do either. )

does it have a random map generator so far? That was actually the bigegst lack of S2, I mean creating your own maps, is not that kind of an adventure to explore.

I still stick with S1 since it is just sooo classic.

Not a full blown end all settlers-II map generator. But it definitely takes the sting out of creating a new landscape.
