I'm Sorry

Postby Mageinta » Sat Mar 30, 2013 9:27 pm

A couple of days ago I stole beeswax from a hive so I could learn the recipe for hard leather, as it seemed that my beehives refused to produce wax. I guess you got really mad and tracked me to my hearth fire, summoned me while I was asleep, and then beat me up. Thanks for sparing my life. My friends have lost interest and I was hoping that making a mine shaft might get them to stay in the game. Sorry again :/

around beeswax, never relax

protip: beeswax takes a bit of time to be produced and the hive needs to be situated around a crop growing field

You are quite fortunate indeed. Many others would have slain you there.

To prevent the situation from occurring again, I can inform you on how to make the beehives create wax. Within the radius of the beehives, they will hasten the growth of crop though each time a crop tile changes phase, it will aid the beehive in producing honey and then wax. The fastest way to get them to produce wax is to have the beehive have carrots within its radius as carrots have the fastest growth rate of crops. As for quality of the wax, I think someone that had performed tests can give better insight than I but I suspect it has to do with both the quality of the crops as well as the materials of the beehive.

Thanks for the assurance. I had higher quality pumpkin seeds so I figured if I stuck a bunch of them together, I might get wax. I have a ton of honey, but no wax. I eventually did get some today, if only I had waited :/

lol, they didn't care about the wax, the 99.9% probablitiy was that it wasn't even the person it belonged to, NOR anyone they knew or asked for help from. It was just the usual bored juvenile griefer with nothing left to do but hunt unrelated and unspecified scents to go kill, harm or grief.

If that was the actual case, wouldn't it make sense that the tracker killed her and/or ransack her place instead of just KOing her?

Not really, first they would want to see if the object of their griefing had any friends or alts capable of tracking them back to their places or whether the target would employ a REAL ranger, could collect/disperse THEIR scents, ect ect. They would instead wait a while to see if anyone comes knocking back on them, if not they will return to finish the target off feeling a bit more sure they will not be hunted for it themselves.

Just because they are idiotic childish griefers doesn't mean they want to lose their pumped up characters in the process.

Wait, so they might come back to kill me for what little leather/crops I have?

no they woulnd't come back for your leather or crops, they would just come back to grief, which is what most of them do it for. For no reason other than they have nothing else to do.

Something to note is that Rhiannon is a pessimistic individual and thus sees the general worst aspects or possibilities. While overly negative, there are some point to the words though. Since it took someone relatively no effort in summoning you, I assume that you don't really have a wall around you (or a palisade). That being said. you should start making sure your defenses of your home are up to par with a brick wall since while not everyone you meet will be a griefer, there are some that may be.

And Rhiannon, if they are as pumped up as you say, they'd more likely to travel in groups for safety of numbers to ensure no casualties and that only high tier factions are capable of combatting them especially if said griefers are high tier themselves.
