Halloween Feast

Postby Raephire » Wed Oct 21, 2009 1:10 am

Progress

Honey buns -100%
Carrot Cake - 100%
Bread - 100%
Beef - 50%
Chantrelle & Onion - 30%
Wine - 5%
Curds - 0%

NOTE - I believe beer requires a cauldron, so I cannot prepare beer.

I propose a feast at the Ring of Brodgar on October 30.

I encourage players to bring whatever they can, Quality doesn't matter. baskets of fish, ANYTHING, bread, but please no apples. The purpose of this is to bring the community together, to get crafters and farmers to get out and enjoy things and get to know their neighbours. To encourage trade, and maybe even have baking contests.

I will be baking carrot cake, apple pie, I'll try to bring wine and beer too. Backpacks for new players. I am not too competent with much else. If we get together we can make something that all will benefit from. It would benefit people too, because we all have different attribute needs, especially new players.

We will need powerful guards to keep things civil.

What does everyone think of this?

Heck yea! I am having surgery on October 26, but if I can get upstairs when I get home I will bring my wine. Only 12 bottles and it's cheap, but I'll make more. Nevermind. See my later post.

am I the only one who thinks an outbreak of zombieflu would be awesome on Halloween?

I mean come the fuck on, this game would make an EPIC zombie survival game, if only for one day out of the year :x

All of my fantasies aside, I'll see if I can find time to make anything substantial for it.

A zombie horde takes over the hearthlands and all the players have to hold out together at the ring until the Gods save them?

Or wherever they happen to be at the moment the horde reaches critical mass.

All players who have died within a 72 hour period res as zombies, which can be killed but are resurrected in about 5 minutes.

Every player killed during the outbreak resses as a zombie, and is ressed as their former self after the outbreak is beaten back, or whenever J&L decide to get back to business as usual.

Seriously, that'd be fucking AWESOME!

The wine and beer are on the go, anything that doesnt require a cauldron, I'll try to make, Just finished baking some honey buns, going to make some onion and chantrelle... pi*cough*skis. Plenty of bread, beef, I might serve some cheese curd hors d'ouvres. Carrot cake, and apple pie.

I agree with an "Abyss" server. The first year UO did that was FUN. They had portals scattered around the game world, and if you jumped into them even as a ghost, you revived as that monster. Some monsters were very powerful. Like the blood elemental. Oh the havoc I wrought on that server that day. I kept going to the location and killing people who became simpler creatures.

Would be fun to see undead in this game, even for that one day.

Just so you all know, I'm only bringing a single basket of each of these food items. I'm starting the event but it's as much as mine as it is everyone elses effort to keep the event moving. There won't be enough Wine, beer, or food for everyone if it's just me doing this.
