1hhp for tresspassing

Will this apply for just walking over a claim?
If it will cost you 1hhp to check each cuboard and crate, that seems kind of extreme.
1hhp for each item stolen i can understand, but that is gamebreakingly bad.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

You must not have played Salem, it's just it's system ported back to haven.

For what reason is it implemented? I actually don't see how it makes any sense.

loftar wrote:For the record, the reason for the change is not so much because of any intended game mechanic, but simply to introduce some kind of cost for leaving scents. The bug A.D. used the other day to lag the server was precisely to leave bajillions of scents, in order to make the server run out of memory.

People were able to cause the server to lag by making tons and tons of scents so the data "overflows". Now people have to be more careful and know what they're after.
Hope you have a great day

Thanks, I had missed out on that part. I guess it won't bother me very much anyways since I'm a ghost and therefore leave no scents.

the scent thing doesn't bother me all that much, except if peeps descide to make their p-claims with miles upon miles of construction signs, and we have to actually get to the claim stake in order to destroy month old claims.

guess time will tell

this gives me a great idea, someone should claim half a sg, then fill the whole thing with signposts.
