All of my characters gone

I logged in yesterday and everything was fine. I long in today and all three of my characters are gone. What is going on?

If it makes it any better for you, EVERYONE lost his characters, and bases, and the world.
Honestly, there's a better chance of prosperity for you with a fresh char than with a 200 UA char in late W6.
It's World 7 now, a fresh opportunity.

Is this a normal occurance? Not really interested in putting months of play time into a character again just to lose it all.

It's not normal and probably won't happen again.
If you payed attention to In Congress Assembled you'd see how much drama, bug abuse and failure followed World 6

well world 6 was running very long - also it was announced that there will be a wipe and a new world
