Abnormal Spawn Rate

Anyone else experiencing annoyingly abnormal spawn rates, I've had 7 bears and 6 herds of deer each with 4.
Most likely it's just bad luck, but seriously all I want to do is kill them and I don't have a sling yet D: It's killing me.

spawn rates are based on HFs, claims, and V claims. since the world is still young the majority of it is still wild, give civilization time to settle in and the population will start to lower

Now that you say that, I recall reading that somewhere before o_o My memory just sucks.

also fewer people are killing animals right now, and a higher population of players causes animals to despawn less

I noticed like there was slight change with spawns, also with forgables. I'm simply walking toward blueberry/chant, and it despawns. On other hand, I'm catching dragonflies in a swamp and mantle apears 30tiles near me. Since w5, this never happened to me before.
