The boat thief with a conscious.

Postby Zornaxe » Tue Jun 04, 2013 5:39 am

As I was exploring the waters of the hearthland's I came upon a boat, sitting still in the water with the owner off to the side raiding an ant hill. I decided to take the boat and well, boat away. I made it back to my settlement with a mate of mine ready to take it and hearth when I felt a twang near my heart, I thought about it for a moment and then rushed away from my ally towards the man I had wronged. I approached the area I had found the man and found it empty, I pushed forward and still nothing, as I was heading back to my home disheartened and guilty I found the man standing in the shores faced down by a bear. I'm still not sure whether he was fighting, or fleeing the bear but that mattered not as the smile pushing his face when I returned his boat was enough to lift my moods and keep on to my village when he said.

"You can keep the boar inside if you wish." To which I replied

"Boar? I do not need a reward for the ability to sleep at night as far enough." He beamed up at me at this point and turned back to his battle with the bear from the comfort of his boat. As I boated away I could not help but smile as I had brought happiness to this dreary, morally gray area we call home.

The irony of the story is that he will hunt you down and raid your settlement in a few weeks

That is one of my favorite feelings in the game. Just a minute ago I had a guy come by and ask to buy a boat, instead, I made a sign, and he and a few of my friends worked together to make him a boat, crates, and I filled it up with a few curios and his first WWW. Good times all around.

There's enough dickbags in the hearthlands, carebear though I may be, I simply find it more fun to be nice.
Yes, I am a Wizard.

This is why people used to kill children and newborn babies far back in history. Better eliminate the threat before they retaliate.

You'll regreet it? Who cares.
You had a good game day. Tomorrow you'll have a bad one, probably, from someone that you never meet or someone you helped. Can you really know this? No, and there are 1000 players, so it's stupid think "He is my enemy!"
he, or someone else in those 1000 players..? You can't know.
So focus on have a good day and don't care about the bad ones.
This is a game and what's is good in agame, is feel happy of what you're doing.

Thanks for the good wishes, I really expected the players of this game to be more cold hearted to this post.
