Missed/Casual Connections

Postby BallisticMeat » Sat Jun 08, 2013 5:20 am

With the huge flux in population due to the rising of the new world, I often see many many new people every time I go out and explore. Some are just noobs who I go by and dont bother with but there are others who I may have wanted to ask a question or to talk to. I see lots of threads asking who attacked this guy or who was doing that, so I thought one central thread would stop all the new ones popping up.

So why not create a casual encounter thread? The basic idea for anyone who doesn't know is to post about someone you have seen in game and did not get the chance to say or do what you wanted with said person.

Ill start; Today I was boating for about 20 seconds when I came across a guy in a necro, bear cape, and i think a Tsack etc. He immediately started bumping his boat into mine and blocking my path so I went to the shore and hearthed home. Right before I hearthed he said something like "joke bro" so I didnt get to stay around and talk to him. I'd like this person to PM me if he/she gets this message.

I met like 3 people today. I wanted to say hi to them but they died too quickly to respond.

Their corpses decorate my house nicely.

My casual encounters involve being punched in the face by a complete stranger. I've only met one friendly person and that's usually one in a hundred.

You don't just take their skulls? Shit son, I'm glad you moved out. We hardly have any walking room, let alone storage space. Although there are still a bunch of polish people near us if you ever want to buzz by and clean house.

Met a shitload of people, really. Everyone I've met has actually been nice, even the russians. They ask what country, I say Canada (It's true) and we enter a conversation filled with grammar errors (their side) and simplifications (my side.) I'm always curtious, polite, help them with killing a boar, we split the take... Everyone is happy C:

I have run into a few boat and bear stealers... but I have met some other people who just say Hi and continue on. I managed to get the 3 antlers I need off of a chance encounter (traded my wax for it) from some nice people.

Sometimes you have to risk sticking around and possibly getting attacked in order to figure out if they are nice or not. Cant just run from everyone or you will make no friends in your area. Sometimes I think its better to give someone the opportunity to attack you because then at least you know where they stand (especially if they are your neighbor).

You were a Russian boat thief, I was a neglected Iranian housewife, you commented on how well my mustache hairs glistened in the light, I praised you for your minuscule erection, you then charged me and pounded me over and over, jumped on me while I screamed "Oh, Yes! Oh, FUCK! Oh god, no more, please!" I was then KO'd and killed, you then took my skull back to your camp as a fond memory of the times we had together.

I reincarnated, and the child's yours, I expect you to take responsibility, otherwise, I'll see you in court and half your bluebells will be mine due to state bylaws.
