How butthurt would you be if call down the thunder was gone?

Apparently us commoners can't make polls on this forum.

Jorb has spoke of removing thunder and this will ruin a lot of things

1. It will make the game incredibly stat based (gg Dis wins)
2. Currently if you're hit moving you take a large portion of damage to your defense bar as opposed to being hit standing still, but full damage movement had been removed. This mechanic is not very relivant in combat without thunder since it's the only move that can be used at a distance
3. Low stat taming of animals will no longer be possible without "twitch" timing
4. Little to no chance in group kambert

Removing thunder will make combat 100% stat-based and factions like Dis/AD will simply win the number game in nearly all cases.

Mvmnt kambert without thunder will go something like this:
>Death or Glory on
>Run in and use charge/slide/dash and gain some IP
>Attempt to clip the other person and make a break off of an object
>Hope to hit them moving to drop some defense of a higher statted opponent
>Repeat
If this is not done then movement will be completely obsolete aside from random noobs running from you

Also, the adv loss on flex is far too much.
5 flexes puts you at -2.5 adv. Even if you planned on flexing to full and val striking the damage would be so shitty flex is now useless. Even .1 is too high for flex to be effective.

If thunder absolutely MUST be changed then pls sir, make the range shorter to say, 10-15 tiles and do not shit it up like you did flex. thx

Also, bring back Storm of Swords

I feel 0.1 or 0.05 for flex is more manageble considering how bloody fast the move is. Even that makes it a hefty cost. Right now flex might as well just not exist.

As for CDTT, I know many warriors who think it would detract negatively from combat complexity and enjoyability. It would also make taming needlessly hard for beginning players.

All in all I think these changes need to be reviewed and reworked.

While I understand the sentiment, I generally feel like Movement combat was the poor's player chance at ever having an influence from a combat perspective, all us mortals are now gonna be repeatedly violated by the very largest of clans without hte slightest chance to fight back.

I'm afraid the movement hit was one of the few things a very skilled player could use to get an advantage over a bad player on a supercharged toon, and on the rare occasion one of the super pvp'ers actually had a toon of significant strength it was a force to be reckoned with by gods and men alike.

removing thunder will be the last nail in the coffin for everyone who isn't the above named factions in terms of combat, and that's the sad truth of it. While readding movement hits would be completely unreasonable at this stage with the community's stance on it, I fear people aren't thinking long term, and in one month when you're all raided and dead, your opinion will be altered.

In terms of flex, I feel like all non merv related changes to combat are without proper thought, while the nerf to flex (Which to be fair was the most used move) could arguably be considered necessary, I think the nerf is approached in the completely wrong way (maybe sligtly reduce the att gain rather than give it a negative effect).

While people haven't noticed yet I'm gonna call it now. This world is gonna be rather odd with the current changes kept in.

(Random note jorbtar, the B12 is now the only viable choice in end game pvp, so unless you want swords to never ever be used you might wanna reconsider that too). Think last world, the very best armor was actually quite tricky to penetrate even for the better characters, something that'll now ONLY be possible with a b12 or 1500 strength.

Just my two cents.

PS: Vigi, no u.

It would be a pain in the ass for taming, but I guess I dont have to use just thunder for taming... would still make it more risky...
