Scripts abusing in w7

Postby Grigorich » Sat Jun 29, 2013 10:12 am

I love the heaven and hearts. But some people killing game using scripts.

Hellowin (Bell) collects flotsams in a dozen windows alts. http://i.imgur.com/exXFeRb.png

Unkown collects bells in the swamps on alts http://puu.sh/3qTxQ/145f2b9915.png

Archaeolog collects mussels violas and making perl necklaces to all former dis.

Is it possible to stop it, before they kill interest in the game?

The only way to stop it would be make a proper client, and make botting a bannable offense. These things simply are not going to happen. Botting has been around sense W1, and instead of directly addressing the problem (custom clients) they change systems to 'dissuade' botting.

By the way I don't doubt that the majority of these people are also the raider/griefer types. It just goes to show that they don't even bother playing the game unless it involves making some tears flow.

Sorry ladygoo, but if DIS needs to resort to that shit then you all deserved to be raided by every major faction in Haven. (If it is you)

It is not abuse if it is legit. It is "use".

Of course I suggested to Jorb how to handle this if he wants to reduce its use: by encouraging people to betray their friend by leaking information and banning people based on that information; that way you force groups to be paranoid as hell about their own members if they do anything "illegal".

Just learn java yourself and write your own client. The java documentation is actually very easily accessible compared to some other languages.
