A very strange death

Postby BombsAway » Tue Jul 02, 2013 12:49 am

Yesterday night, I sat down with a friend to have a meal in our timber house after a long day of working on our new farm and chicken coop. I was at very low health as I was eating due to a recent boar attack.
I began eating and immediately after eating a piece of boar meat, I collapsed at the dinner table and died. Maybe it was the boars taking revenge on me? Probably not.
My friend, sitting on the other side of the table, was in shock.

As the village elder, I assumed that our treacherous cook had staged a coup and assassinated me. However he insisted that he would not commit such a horrible act.

So, I was wondering what could have possibly killed me. I had no leeches, there were no animals around that could have killed me, so I have actually no clue how I died. Anybody have any ideas?

Was the meat cooked? Uncooked meat does HHP damage.

You could of eaten raw meat hour or two or a day before and hhp fep was still on you. When you ate another piece of food to jump to max fep, you got unlucky.

8/10
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

That's probably one of the funnier ways to die, so you get that at least

Were you starving before you started to eat?

HHP FES event shouldn't even be that dangerous if you had at least 10 HHP left.
At worst it'll roll a -1 HHP to -5 HHP.

But yeah, for that to even happen in the first place is for someone to be very very careless and consume raw meat in the first place.
Seeing how the OP has 2 posts, means he doesn't know about the hhp fes.
