My first dead in this game

Hey,

A few hours ago I found this game and created a char. It dropped me in the woods where a helpful fellow found me and explained me the game basics. He himself was new to the game, joined a week ago. First he helped me setting up a base. Then when realizing that his base is not far away we settled at his.

So far a great start into the game!

Unlucky me was killed today by a boar hidden behind a stone. He charged, I had no idea what to do. Outrun was impossible. First hit KO. I thought because of salem no more hits after KO. But then it attacked again and my ender client closed, a very sad moment.

Hopefully I can find my new friend to join him again. He got my old heart password, but we did not know how that system works. I forgot his password.


This game seems to be very nice. Guess I have to figure out how to get circles and stuff around animals to be alerted on time. Saw that on youtube.

If you set the same HS in the new character he might try to get in contact with you. Also it is wise to make contact in forums in case such things happen. (Before you die.)

For future, try to get Enders Game Client, and in expanded Menu turn "Show Animals" on. Then u will see every animal, wherever it hides to kill you

Also go into the section where you can check what can be hidden, select what you want and hot ctrl-h for on and off. You'll be able to see the bastard trying to ambush you from behind a rock next time.

you might be able to spawn at your old HF if its isn't destroyed. if you up the stairs in the creation room.

Also, you can reincarnate by using the tombstone in the char selection menu. You will keep a small part of your abilities and discoveries (meaning your crafts will all be unlocked as soon as you gain the needed skills, but also no LP for discovering them). You'll also keep your Hearth Fire.

I did the same HS as before but no contact. Took a look at the world7 map, wont be able to find it just by the terrain I remember. Looks very similar everywhere.
Enders Client improves the game a lot! Was not able to find the "Show Animals option". But I use control+h to scan the bigger area before moving in. With this very useful hint I successfully avoided boars and a bear today.
Sadly I created a new HF with my new char before I red the forum post, so I was unable to try to spawn to the HS of the dead char. Reincarnation was no option anymore.

Hope to find some new people to join, found 2 sleeping today and big fortified bases. Found out that every foxhole seems to be claimed. No chance to peak inside. Well lets see how long I manage to stay alive this time. Hope the friendly guy who introduced me to the game survives. Seems not to be an easy task for noobs. Wooden fences for example only help to hold off animals. A bit misleading.

It's actually not an aggro range, just a warning circle around animals (red if the animal's aggressive).
