New Settlement

Postby Yolan » Tue Jun 09, 2009 9:40 am

Dear All

Recently, I have been granted a mine by the dev team. ;-) Having a nice little farm set up by a largely unexploited forest, and in the second ring no less, I think its time that I open to any newcomers who might wish to migrate and share resources. The more the merrier I think.

Here is a map to the location itself

I am hoping to get a three tile wide cart road linking up with Brodgar in the future as well.

Hi Yolan! Glad to hear you got set up and have a mine! Now the real fun begins.

I'm a resident of Clayshire, a charity village east of the Stone circle. We like to give out free stuff to new settlements and new players!
Is there any supplies that you'd like to have delivered to you? We've got a lot of everything and would love to help. Also, if it's a road you want, I know just the man for the job. Benton the Mad Road Builder no less! I can get a hold of him and set up an arrangement for your settlement to be connected. If you want, that is.

That would be fantastic, thank you! Really, I would love seeds so I can expand my crops, and plant fibres, so that I can make more torches for mining.

I've made a start on the road to Brodgar, but its a big job. If this roadbuilder would like to expand on it I would be very greatful!

Of course, I am happy for anybody who stops by here to help themselves, within reason, to food and such. I only ask that they don't take anything too valuable and important for my agricultural/industrial base (such as walking away with my anvil!). I had a 40 arrow quiver go missing just last night ;-( I guess this is the unavoidable downside of opening to the world.

Ahh glad to hear you're taking us up on the offer ;) What kind of seeds would you like? And I'll have Benton look into your road.

Any and all seeds are welcome. Although I would particularly like more wheat. I am going to try and massively ramp up the extent of my wheat production so as to make bulk bread stores. Constantly eating apples is getting annoying!

I hear you on that one, we had an apple tree in the middle of our village that was the main source of food/fuel; Some guy chopped it down and left the log though. sapling is taking it's time :( We have plenty of wheat! And since you're having to feast on apples, I'll bring you some rations as well. At least then you'll be getting some stat points.

Anything else? Leather perhaps? We've got a lot of that.
