Why theese lakes, patches of red clay and swamps are mostly penis-shaped? I need a brief answer!

iirc, loftar generates them as a tree shape, then splines around them.

tldr; math

tldr; math finds the penis shape most natural.

Or you're blind. Because there are dicks galore out where I live.

And I personally like it that way ^^

I thought they were supposed to be clover-shaped...argh!

01:35 < Oddity> hey loftar tell us some things about how you generate H&H maps
01:35 < loftar> I don't think there's a whole lot to tell. :)
01:36 < Oddity> There is, I assure you
01:36 < Oddity> I need to know how you get all those nice penis-y shapes instead of a bunch of dumb Perlin Noise islands
01:36 < loftar> Either way, I don't want to formalize your conception of the map. :)
01:36 < loftar> Oh, I see.
01:36 < Oddity> why not?
01:36 < loftar> Because it's boring if the game is all math. :)
01:37 < loftar> Those particular shapes are rather simple, though.
01:37 < loftar> I generally just generate a tree-like structure, and trace its contour with splines.
01:38 < loftar> Which is, however, also the reason they can't cross supergrid boundaries.

01:39 < Min> oh fuck off
01:39 < loftar> I'll rape you.
