Good old times

Postby Grog » Fri Jul 26, 2013 4:46 am

Since i started in w3, and some of you even earlier, there are much things one might miss, or not so.
I'd like to share us some memories about good and bad things of former times.

I'll start with one:
The Congress threats were WAY better in old times.
Here my favourite example:

What i also very miss is a drunk Jorb posting sever messages of how much he loves us. I REALLY miss that! *sniff*

Never saw any of those :/ I'd say it's my time zone, but I know that they never went to bed until I did, which would have been somewhere around 8am for them.

I miss the level of general friendliness. I think I had everything but metal and only a pole fence protecting it and nobody ever touched my stuff. Maybe it was just that quite where I lived with that giant world. What was it? 9x9? 11x11?

tbh, I lived most of world 4 in a pole fence and only had once theft incident never got attacked by anyone
but I lived a short time this world as a hermit, and didn't even have a fence, and met a few people on my journeys etc and never once got attacked, or had anything stolen from my place- not that I had much.

But when u have a shitt character I don't care too much abt bumping into people, so u can always find out some good ones. although I understand peoples general story is of being aggroed.

Ahh, where to start?

How about the beginning? I remember I started near the end of W1. I remember the first few days I was around, seeing Pumpkinhead declaring his ownership of the RoB (in addition to Mordor) and challenging anyone to enter it to take it away from him. The area at the time was a bit crouded, maybe 10-20 people running around the RoB, ducking in and out. Trying to get him to after them, and I just had to join in... I was one of few that made it back out of the ring.

Pumpkin was funny. A complete idiot, but funny.

I think my favorite part of my time here was my time as a part of Caketown in W2. I will never forget the feeling of being welcomed not only by a village, but by Kaka himself. I still hate Nao a little bit for ruining that. It was the start of the end of the magic of the game.

What ever happened to Kaka anyways?

I really wish I could have found out about this game earlier, I joined during the shit fest mid-late w6. I guess my favorite time was when my friend and I got chased by 5 people for wandering around right

outside their gate, they somehow jammed each other up in the river, hehe.

Jorb Hair

Villages without walls that didn't get destroyed

The feeling of undiscovered stuff

Updates (They'd really trickled when I started playing, but now is complete dam blockage compared to then)

Not everyone being a murderous dick-face

Server messages ("Someone stole my fucking rabbit hides")

My druid cloak that got worn for a week

lulzy bugs like shrunken and enlarged inventories, instead of a plethora of ram bugs.

But for me, I couldn't play this at all when I joined. The lag was horrific in World six and I did not went so far in the game. Was still in the noob stage, so I quit temporarely and decided to go for Salem meanwhile, waiting in hope that Jorb would atleast fix the lag so I could play. And once the lag was fixed, I came back abit late. But in time for World seven. And now that I would definitely say is, I don't regret playing this. Is my drug addiction.
