Builders of Haven Welcome

Postby ghost347 » Sun Jul 28, 2013 10:02 pm

I'm sure some of you know who I am and who I play this game with (Xcom). I was thinking of starting a group of players that like to build and make stuff for the use of the world.
I'm sure some of you know of the Blood Maze that we built.
Here is the link for those of you who still have yet to read the thread.

Like I said I looking for Players that would be willing to help build and help gather/make things that are needed for any build sites that may be planned.
As of right now there are no plans for anything big to be build but if we could find some players that would be willing to help with building something for the whole world to enjoy. Then I'm sure this group of people can build anything.

If you are interested in joining this group leave a post here or send me a PM I can also be gotten ahold of over Skype (ghost_347)

I'd love to do something. I had a 2D maze drawn out, but never got around to working on it. The plan was to dig it out underground so that I wouldn't have to make a metric f***-ton of bricks. I never got around to working on it as I couldn't stand how bad the lag got in w6. The idea was to turn it into a vault instead of for public use, but after viewing the Blood Maze thread, that just feels so selfish and so small in scale in comparison.

I'd love to contribute to labor or even just providing food.

Hi ghost347,

If you can persuade Xcom to attempt something for this world I would love to be a part of it.

I understand how he feels, last world was the most I've ever achieved and although, ofc, it was on a much, much smaller scale than the blood maze, it did affect me when I woke up and it was all gone. :(

I've been finding it hard this world to motivate myself again and not sure I want a big hermit village this time round, consequently I'm barely playing. If you get a project going I would be fine with labour, I can spend hrs paving, lol, I'm happy to gather materials, build, w/e - in fact it would give me a clear objective for world 7 - so, count me in. :D

Can I recommend Brodgar area as a nice location for building stuff? You can pay/hire resident noobies for labor, and maybe find it easier to get people over to see whatever has been done.

We already have made a bit of progress on starting a large road that would run along the edge of the supergrids as one possible project. Maybe it needs to be spiced up a bit by having something like crossroads running along its length that allow people to jump along wherever they like. A kind of public global transportation network.

I can't invest the time into helping due to lack of it doing lot of other things, but I can donate "payments" in curio shapes, tool shapes, any other good q shapes for hard workers to get as many hands on such projects if needed.

I would love to help support this project. I don't have the time to invest, but I can provide food to be used by the laborers.

I thank you all for saying what you have. I'll start drawing up some blue prints for something if you would like to give any thoughts as to what should be built.
I think that the first Project that is done needs to be something on the smaller side to see how well we can work together. So for right now nothing as big as Blood Maze for surjections. Right now as Xcom is short on time I will be heading up what ever we decide to build as a group but Xcom will help when he has some time.
But if you all want to remake the Blood Maze then let me know and I'll start hunting a good spot to build it, but if we do go to remake Blood Maze it will take a long time because of how much detail has to go into it.
