Hello, I am a new Player to this game and am really confused! Is anyone willing to help me start out, or are there any other new players that would like to begin together?

My advice to you:

Find a village to take you in and learn from them.

make sure it's a village that works as a team, not
a village that is divided into loads of seperate plots
and everyone leaves eachother alone... Or if it is
a village like that, you'll need to find a mentor ( or
someone to teach you the basics and stuff) and
hope that they allow you to live with them

Welcome to H&H, friend. There is a very steep learning curve and you can get overwhelmed very easily. I would suggest putting some time aside to reading the guides that were linked and make sure you have the wiki on hand for reference. http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/

If you want to start with someone or have someone start with you you'll need to know/have a hearth secret. You can make one by opening your kin list (the hearth button) and typing in a case sensitive phrase. When someone makes a new character they can tell the secret to the person standing in the corner of the creation room and they will spawn at your hearth fire. However, make sure your hearth fire is not inside a house or they won't be able to spawn.

If you have questions, make sure you use the search function search.php BEFORE you make a thread. Chances are someone's already asked the same question and it will help the moderators out too.

Again, welcome to H&H. ;)

Best thing is to start as hermit. That way you learn many facets of the game by yourself and you don thave to collect logs for your superiors.

THAT!!!
Seriously, don't try to join a city for now...you'll not learn anything, they'll just make you collect logs forever since you don't have skills/stats to do anything else : p

Anyways, good luck, and have fun : D

I think he would rather get to burn thousands of bricks. But it doesn't have to be. As with everything it depends on where he ends up.

My advice would be to start out yourself to learn the basics until you have seen and discovered all the things that interest you. When the game begins to get boring you will start to feel a bit lonely and then is the time to seek similar-minded companions. But choose wisely whom you want to have around you. Enjoy your time with them until the game slowly wears out on you.
