Personal most funny H&H moments

Anyone else have any good memory/stories about a moment in their H&H lives?

I guess mine would be in world 3 (couldv'e been w4 but I feel it was w3). We had an embassy in the ROB, as most did, small claims near it and the market consisting usually of a cabin, small front yard and little backyard. Mine was right on the path from the ring to the market so I could stand there in my grapes outside my door and watch people come and go. Everyone was so "nervous" (myself included) all the time it was quite amusing. So I was there late one night, just standing around, no one had come to the ROB in probably 30mins when I saw this guy coming. So as usual I hid in my grapes and waited for him to get right next to my claim as he was making his way to the market. I had gotten into the habit of setting my chaacter to fast run and jumping out at people from the grapes.

So there he was and I tore out of the grapes with a big XXXXXXXX at superspeed and he stopped dead in his tracks....I laughed and said Hi but there was no answer. For about 8 minutes he just stood there , and I was about to give up and walk off when he moved. He then began to chat with a bunch of LOLS and LMAOS as he explained that he was causualy coming to the ROB to check out the stalls when I jumped out. He explained that he was leaned back in his chair with a cup of hot coffee resting on his tummy in one hand and mousing with the other and his feet up on his desk and that when I jumped out it scared the hell of him so bad he spilt the hot coffee all on himself, kicked his monitor off the desk and fell flat ass on the floor. LMAO. I told him, such "relaxed" play in H&H at the time was always a recipe for disaster..lol

I was a bit embarassed but we both laughed at the fact that a "game" could provide such tension that such a thing could occur. I was glad he was alright and his monitor still worked and I was not so quick to jump out at people anymore after that..lol. H&H is truly the only game I've ever played where I've actually felt "fear" shoot through me when a person appeared or a bear jumped out, One of the things I've always loved about it.

I managed to convince my friend that Boars were the easiest thing in the game to kill, and were used to learn the combat system for noobs. So, he went at one with 7 UA. Lets just say that the Boar ate well that night.

Another one was when I stood right up to a pali while hunting Aurochen, and they killed me in one shot through the wall. Then, this guy just comes by, sees my corpse just lying there with the Aurochen outside, and yells "Show me, the HOLE IN THE WALL". I was still pissed, but it brought me up a bit.

One thing offhand that I thought was funny and ridiculously adorable was when a newbie who spawned near me got beat up by ants and had to run away, then not five minutes later I see them aiming at an ant swarm with a wooden bow!

@Rhiannon: that's an awesome story! Too bad nowadays the radar blips and/or the hidden crops would prevent such silly surprises from occuring.

lol, those are funny, as for the blips, actually until this world a couple weeks ago I never used the ENDclient (felt too much like cheating and I actually like the day/night, makig torches and candles and most of the other stuff we're suppose to be doing as far as mechanics go.), then I got a new monitor and the web client is so small i could barely see to play, the ENDClient isnt bad though once I realized you could turn stuff off that you consider taking away from the game. And I can actually see to play now..lol

Another of my fav stories was when a friend of mine joined the game, she played like for 16 hours in our village, we walked around, she built her a cabin, I showed her how to farm and all that stuff. Then boom, she just splats dead in the middle of a conversation after we've played all day and into the night. She called me and for like 20 mins we tried to figure out what the hell happened on the phone...then...I thought...wait a minute...OMG...PLEASE tell me that you did not run around all day as we played, in a village FULL of food and never ATE?..she STARVED TO DEATH right in front of me surrounded by fields and cubbords of food..lmao...she still gets embarassed to this day about that...lol Noobs can be so very funny.
