What keeps you playing?

Most ppl outside haven think im a serious nerd or an idiot with too much time to waste playing haven. They see it as a slow game, which can be destroyed the moment devs decide on a new world, or someone comes and destriys all yoyr stuff and kills your charachters. Which im pretty sure we've all experienced at some point. And this game IS time consuming and its disheartening when you lose things uve worked months to get.

So what keeps you playing world after world?

Friendship and adventures!
No matter what stats I have, no matter what I do (be it peaceful farming and hunting, or raiding)
if I do it with other people I'm enjoying the game 100%.
Edit: Also what zacty said, I've searched a lot for games like this to no avail.

im in love with progression, that and there is literally no other game like haven so i dont exactly have anywhere else to go

I keep playing because I have kool frends 2 talk 2.
also cuz games that have constant progress to make and stUFF get me hookd fast like dwarf 4rtress and stuff.

Because it's one of the few games (that i know of) in wich the way you achieve something it's more important than the end result. That and because i've met a lot of people in my time playing

Oh and the feeling of the game, more specifically, the beginning of a new char/world are what hooks me the most

the things that keep me playing:

1.i have friends who prank each other and arnt too serious

2. i have set goal stupid things but require your entire gameplay to achieve e.g. make a BW out of initial corner posts etc

3. well its the only game that i can make clients for and i wont be posting my client anytime soon

4. TRADE! love the stuff never had my own thread but its the thought that counts
