Green And Red Monster?!

okay so i have seen this... thing! twice now. and i have no clue what it is and it scares the crap outta me.
It is a tall "person" with scarecrow like hair, and its green and red. and it sprints around!

I've seen it in forest biomes twice while im on a boat.
i tried to take a screenshot but my goddamn Puush stopped working!

I just need to know what it is. is it hostile? is it friendly?

I assume its like a troll... but i know what trolls look like and it is much taller!

does anyone have a clue what i'm talking about?

Oh and it doesn't show up on my radar so i know it isn't a fellow hearthling!

It's a dryad. It's harmless but it heals injured animals. You cannot harm or kill it.
