Good to be back

Postby Ogrim » Mon Nov 11, 2013 4:15 am

Haven't been on since W7 got started. Amazed to find my p-claim with a palisade next to a river with a mine entrance left untouched.

Left it to a buddy and restarted as a hermit on the far east side of the map near the middle. Not much activity here. Took a boat up to Brodgar to check it out, seems pretty dead. Killed me a bear and got my cabin set-up for the basics. Working on criminal skills to start looting the various empty (already raided) compounds that litter the countryside and knock out p-claims from inactive accounts.

Any town around this area friendly to working trade with a hermit? I mostly hunt/forage at the moment.

Nope, no pallet town. Mostly hermited in W6. Spent some time in Emerald City too, Em is awesome. A few other places, a few start-up towns that never panned out. Worked as a ranger for a guy in one of the big political groups for a while (Ainran maybe? dunno, never cared much about the who).

You know that huge cluster of white (stubble land?) just south of Brodgar? I boat through that sometimes. Glad to meet-up with any of you in game.

Stunned at the good nature of some of the players. Yeah, I know the world is full of griefers, raiders and trolls. A nice girl contacted me because she had a spare claim she wasn't actively using. Offered that I could have it if I wanted. BW, multiple mansions, mid quality production facilities and use of her personal village idol. It'll take me months just to level my stats to take advantage of half of this stuff. What's staggering is the offer comes with no expectations.

In exchange she likes high q bear intestines. I've also volunteered to complete some work around the place (simple woodwork of the n00b variety) that needed doing.

I've always been the nice guy to help out others in the past. This is a nice Karma withdrawl. =)
