help a noob today!

hey im new to this game... ive been playing for maybe... 4 days and i feel i haven't made any progress... i still havent figured out how to find chickens or rabbits... only animals and things that will kill me in a second... SO! im looking for help starting a new game with someone who could teach me the bearings, i have enders client bu tdont know how to use it and such..... I coulf really use the help. add me on skype mask.rising if you could teach me a thing or two

I'm surprised you haven't encountered a rabbit, lol, they are everywhere!
Chickens can be found on grassland, moors and heaths - green and purple land.

Get Ender's or xcom's client, too. You can find them in the Wizards' Tower. I recommend xcom's. It's the work Ender has done and then updated with some of the needed bug fixes and improvements.

All those trees are why you can't see much of anything. It makes for great atmosphere, but makes it hard to find things that you want to find or avoid.
