2050 predictions

Postby Lord_of_War » Sun Mar 02, 2014 6:17 am

Someone suggested I spark intelligent conversation so here's my attempt.

Predict wealth distribution in 2050 and the events causing it.

I predict the yuan will collapse. China's growth is absolutely unsustainable. As for the USD I predict it will be uplifted by the yuan collapse but be still weakened relative to other countries developing rapidly. I predict the euro will linger on in a weakened state. Small countries will have a respectively easier time coping with the effects of global warming. Discuss.

Who knows, maybe it will end up in an archive someday and schoolchildren will laugh at how wrong we were.

It isn't without intelligent people. Global warming will be a factor. The weighting is debatable. No one can make an accurate prediction but it is fun to speculate and use your brain more. Play along or get lost.

It's certainly possible. Rogue states have been building their stockpiles. I think it's a low risk because of developing technologies that make nukes obsolete. That and use of nuclear weapons is mutually assured destruction. Tactical nukes may be used but it's still a low chance.

The very fact that you're even mentioning global warming as a factor shows your lack of intelligence.

Predict wealth distribution in 2050 and the events causing it.

The Riches getting richer and the poor getting poorer and much more in numbers - caused by Turbocapitalism ...

And when it comes to currencies - what about electronically mined ones i.e. Bitcoins and such ?!?

Will there be oeconomies that cut themselves from using common transfer mechanisms (money, banks) but develop a grassrootish behaviour?
