Greetings, hearthlings! Recently I started to miss HnH, not much enough to play again, but enough to want some social events, and came up with this idea. This is not the first tournament in hnh history, but this one is different. The general idea is a big Olympics-like championship with few disciplines both team and individual.
Some ideas of competitions:
1. Catch the frog. All the participants catch frogs inside the locked fence, once the last frog is picked we count them. Team with the biggest number of frogs wins.
2. Chaotic death match. 50 or 100ua alts are fighting inside same fence, the last standing one takes the prize. No murder involved.
3. Boat race. This one is obvious.
4. NotMovement combat. Mentioned alts stuck in gates fight each other one on one.
5. Run and catch. Small distance run with dragonflies catching. Person with the biggest amount of flies wins.
6. Water death match. Teams try to destroy other teams boats. The last standing team wins. Death and destruction involved.
7. Race with obstacles. Long obstacle course with different challenges along the way.
8. Musical chairs. Speaks for itself. We played this game in haven back in w5, that was lots of fun
There are a few more raw ideas, need to think on realization before posting.
Winner of each challenge takes a small prize. The team with the biggest number of victories takes a big prize. What are prizes? It is discussable. I have few ideas: 1. Just some random valuables (everything from cheese to silk) 2. Challenge related valuables (prince charming for frogs challenge, good q sword for fighting, etc., this one is pretty unbalanced) 3. Sport-like system with 3 places (good q bronze bar for the 3d, silver jewerly for the 2d, gold for the first) All 3 systems still imply one big prize in the end, something like a chest of pearls. I personally like #3.
Now I have to beg you for donations I did not play this world, so I have literally nothing. Ofcourse I will boil as much pearls as I can to contribute, but this is not enough. I know there are a lot of rich people in hearthlands with sympathy for such projects, so I'm asking you to donate as much as you can. If each of you will donate 100 points worth valuables, we already will have some motivating enough prize. Also I'm thinking about participation fee, 1 pearl from each person, all of wich will go to the winner team in the end.
But now my main question is are you interested? I have to know how many people (if any) would like to participate in any form (donate, take part in competition, help me to build stuff) before I'll start to actually organize something.

The first goal was achieved, 20 people are working on this event organization in different forms now, so this thread is not just a check of interest anymore, now it is about unique games, that will happen. Prize fund is already worth almost 5000 points. Stadium building is started. And I have a really special news for all of you: *If more than 50 players will take part as competitors, one of our generous donators will throw an actual dev's item to the prize fund! So make sure you're joining and invite your entire village. Invite people even if they quit long ago, they wont need developed char to participate and it still could be fun.
Promotion is the best way to help our project at this stage, even if you're not going to participate in any other form. Please show this thread to your villagers, link it to your friends. What is this all about? Please check out archive and discussion for more details. In short: this is Olympics-like event in HnH. 4-5 people teams will compete in ~10 disciplines. There will be 3 prize places with different value reward in every competition and also one huge prize for a team with the biggest amount of gold medals. All you need to enter is post in this thread or pm me here or on skype and alt prepared by rules. We are looking for competitors, sponsors, helpers and viewers. You are free to be all at once.

What is there behind that curtain? Right. It is our prize fund. Curtain will fall really soon!
How to make an alt? All characters taking part in competitions should be created by competitors before actual competitions on separate accounts. Account info (login / password) should be shared to game hosts for stats checking. Login form should be "FHSG - [your nickname]" Players, who would like to take part in combat competitions, should also get 50 unarmed combat and required fighting skills before competitions. Murder is not allowed. No additional gear and equipment affecting combat related atributes allowed . Characters should be named exactly as player's nickname registered in Google Document to prevent cheating. Non-movement combat challenge will require to position characters correctly, so game hosts will take care of it, controlling players' characters before the competition start.
List of approved competitions and it's rules: 1. Moths in the house (similar to frogs catching) Participants locked in a house are trying to catch as much moths as they can. The best one wins. No violence allowed. 2. Chaotic death match. Players locked in a fence are fighting with their bare fists. You're knoked - you're out. The last standing wins. No murder allowed. No weapons and gear affecting a fight. 3. Plow race Competitors are plowing same lenght line. The fastest one wins. No violence or interference in attempt to help other member from your team win. 4. Water Deathmatch Teams are trying to destroy other teams boats. The last standing team wins. Team consider standing as long as atleast 1 member of it is not drowned. 5. Musical Chairs A game from your childhood. If you don't know the rules, check out wikipedia. There will be a signal instead od music. No violence allowed. 6. Marathon Long distance race with different stages. No violence or interference in attempt to help other member from your team win. 7. Non-movement combat Participants blocked standing are fighting 1on1. Rules are same as for Chaotic Death Match. 8. Swim&catch Players are swimming and catching flies, you need to be first and collect required amount of dragonflies. No violence or interference in attempt to help other member from your team win. No extra flies stealing. 9. Foragers contest. Every team gets a list of simple forageables. The first team to find everything from that list wins. No violence allowed. Competitions which don't require too much of preparation can be added later.
FAQ
1. I don't have a team, can I participate? Yes, you can, we will take care of that. 2. I can not afford 50uac alt, what should I do? That's okay, you can skip combat disciplines. In that case all you need is swimming and foraging. 3. Why the time is so bad? I'm bery smurt and I know what time is better. Time choice is based on statistics we've got from asking participants about the most convinient time. Ofcourse not everyone can make it, but we did our best. 4. What can be our team uniform? Everything, that is not affecting unarmed combat, including str, agi, charisma and constitution. It also should have no AC. And it can not be same to the other team.

Some deadlines: Tuesday, 11th - The day when final date will be established. You should tell me everything I need to know about your timezone and the most convinient time for you before tuesday evening. Wednesday, 12th - donations gathering day. Please be prepared to transport your generous donations to my idol. I will contact each of you personally, but just keep that date in mind. We will accept donations later, but it will be a day to define minimum value of our prize fund. Friday, 14th - the last day to registrate your team. By that day I should know your team's name, it's members and uniform Friday, 14th - the last day to prepare your char. By Friday evening I need to know your account login and password for doping control.

Plow racing - i've seen a video of this before but I couldn't find it - perhaps someone else could post it here if they know what im talking about? Cave-in deathmatch - Make a large underground area with lots of supports then have some alts break the supports and last one standing wins. Swimming race - speaks for itself

Plow race is one of most fun things there can be, when you are building big village and lots of paving is required. All you need is few peeps, plows and path in front of you.
