A little (failed) experiment on floating

So, as some of you might know, there's this bug when you destroy a chair with someone in it, that person keeps floating in the air.
Example:

You might also know the bug where you destroy a boat that carries a chair on deep water. The chair falls out of the boat and you're able to swim to it and go sit in the chair.

Now, what me and a buddy were wondering is: what happens when you combine these two "bugs" together? So destroying a chair with someone on it while being on water? Would that person float above water? Would he become invincible?
Let's experiment.

I tried destroying the chair from my boat. Didn't work. All it gave was one bashing sound, then nothing happens.
What I tried next was swim towards it, from land, trying to destroy the chair.

Same effect as sitting in a boat.

Next thing we tried was walking on water to destroy the chair.
For those that don't know how: Someone logs out of his boat, you take the boat with another character, lift it, the person logs back in on water.

He had to be right next to the chair to be able to click destroy on it. But, unfortunately, it still gave the same effect as sitting in a boat and swimming towards it.

We were about to give up at this point when we both came up with a brilliant idea. Someone destroys the chair with no one in. While destroying, you go sit in the chair.
At first this didn't work, until we had the idea to walk up to it from land while destroying it.

Aaaaand... it worked!! The chair broke with a person sitting on it!
This was the effect:

Poor alt.

Kind of disappointing to not see it float above water, but there was one odd side-effect to this:
The person that was drowning wasn't able to move. She was stuck in place, couldn't swim anywhere at all, leaving it no other option than dying. RIP.

Could the person who destroyed the chair move when there was a KO under him?

Nope, he can only walk one tile on water. Meaning he can't access the tile where the drowned alt was located. In other words, he was standing one tile next to the alt's tile.
