I agree but the world is so phony about everything, not just feminism. What about religion,politics,race.... It gets real ugly and fake,really quick.
The tragedy is that when you have children the world will get a greater chance to influence them than you do, and they always has an agenda.
The solution is to teach children to have critical thinking, be objective and use empathy.

I would say that society treats men and women differently, meaning there are both benefits and disadvantages to both. When you add it all together men get the most benefits though. This is probably why people have started fighting for women's rights, which in the society we live in today, I think is good. What I don't understand is why society keeps treating people differently depending on their genitals? I mean, what other differences are there between male and female that aren't constructed by society?

Just be you and realize that is enough. Life is to short to get caught in another's drama or limitations. If you realize you set your pace and no one else life will be much easier. I'm not saying people won't try to mess you up but if you don't give them the power its certainly makes their job a lot harder.

That's not to say men don't have a ton of shit to deal with but then again, men can also create a movement. the fact there isn't one doesn't mean a feminist movement isn't required and would make me presume that men perhaps don't need a movement to support them because maybe, just maybe, society already benefits men more than women in many many things.

My opinion on feminism, if you choose to accept it, is that it can't be helped. People will always subconsciously judge someone based on gender, no matter how nice you are and no matter how much you claim to. You probably don't even notice it, it can't be helped. Its simply a thing hardwired into our brains through evolution. The fact is, men and woman both evolved in certain ways to fulfill certain roles in a household. That does not mean a woman needs to cook or a man needs to work, and we've gotten to the point where we aren't deliberately sexist, but you can't lie that if you saw a female construction worker lifting heavy loads, you would think something was off, no matter how hard you tried.

This is why in rural and poor countries, women are still mistreated; because the roles are still in place, and people still fight for their lives, which is what we evolves that notion for; to stay alive and reproduce. In first world countries, the notions have died down to the minimum of what was hardwired because we are overpopulated and no longer have to fight to survive the way we used too.
