ONE HUNDRED! STORY TIME!!!

Postby Pinkie-Pie » Wed Mar 26, 2014 8:10 pm

A winged pony sprints across thick under growth. The forested canopy lased so thickly over head that no light penetrated to reach the ground. Her breathing quickened, behind her three wooden, thorny beasts chased. Timber wolves, heavy logs and thorny vines animated in the form of giant wolf.

Darring Do, the adventurous pegasus, barreled through the Everfree forest. She sould feel the hot, rancid breath of the wolves on her tail. The clever pony knew just how to lose them! There was a small opening just ahead to an underground grotto. Her heart sank, however as she closed in on the opening to see a large boulder blocking the hole. "Oh buck oh buck oh buck!" She panicked, probing for another way in.

One of the massive beasts crashed down on top of her, but the ground gave way beneath them sending them both crashing into the grotto below. Darring came too seconds before the timber wolf and the others were actively clawing for a way inside. Her vision came into focus on the mirror pool, a known source of dangerous, half understood magic. In hindsight, she realized, that was probably why the grotto was sealed off.

The Timber wolf stirred and pulled himself up. Darring had no choice, she dove into the pool, to follow the current wherever it might take her. It seemed normal as first, then the current became stronger and stronger and seemed to change direction haphazardly with no real logic. Blackness started closing in was this the end?

Just as that thought crossed her mind she washed up on a sandy shore, yet she was still inside of a cave of some sort. Three bipedal creatures in exotic robes whispered to each other.

"This isn't right, why does it have a body already?"

"A glitch? Or perhaps lord Lorb is in a whimsical mood?"

"What IS it? Can it hear us?"

"I-Ithink so. She seems to have a hearth fire yet it feels... different. I've never felt such an untainted hearth fire, even on a brand new hearthling."

Darring do stood up and shook the water from her coat. "Um, hi. They call me Daring Do um... where am I?"

One of the creatures turned to her. "So you speak, interesting. This is a pocket dimension that serves as the entrance to the Hearthlands."

"Oh, Hearthlands hu? Do you by any chance know how to get to Equestria?"

He shook his head. "That ladder is the only way out, after that you'll have to find your own way."

Here we go again, another adventure. She always seemed to trap herself in these kind of situations. Reality shimmered half way up the ladder as it vanished from beneath her. She suddenly found herself in a sparse pine forest. Now what?

I was 99 for around two weeks trying to think of an epic 100'th post. Hardly 'spam'

I find it important to note the 50'th post and celebrate the 100'th post and the 1,000'th posts with something special.

I enjoyed your story about Daring Do. Of course I've watched MLP as well, but carry on Pinkie Pie!

I also stopped reading after pony.
As a 18 year old, male, MLP fan, I feel the need to point out 99% of the MLP fandom find anybody who'd call themselves bronies just as annoying as everybody else.
That said, he's just having fun, and if I found it amusing I'd do the exact same.
Good day.
