Next world estimations?

Postby Harka » Sun May 04, 2014 9:03 pm

I'm currently on hiatus for this world again. I may play in the next one.

I'm curious of rough guesses on when the world will probably be restarted again. I know there's usually bits and pieces posted by Jorb in various threads about possible changes and such but I don't know if he's mentioned when there may be a update released to where he needs to start clean.

You mean aside from making Haven 2 from scratch? There's no big update in which he has to start clean.

I know this is said a lot jokingly because no one ever knows when a world reset will be but in all seriousness, probably never this time. If you don't want to play this world then you may not get to play again until Hafen is released.

Moving to the Inn.

The real question is, what came first, the bridges or the hafen?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

If Hafen is at least year away why not make world 8 for that time? I'm hopeful that Hafen is not that far away.

World resets only come alongside major updates that force a compatibility break or irreparable damage to the game world via software or hardware (usually this case) errors. There will be no reset for the sake of a reset.

Hafen. Maybe both simultaneously with bridges in Hafen.

Bridges
They have been in the making for a long time, hafen is relatively new.

That's kinda unfortunate. It'd be nice to get a new playing field but I guess that's out.

Does Hafen have a dev blog or anything yet?
