I have no idea what a mingefest is. Nothing really new from w6 to w7 as the devs haven't modified too much beyond some combat rebalances. Larger world so there's less action unless you settle near the inner grids. Polish are the new Russian, though in my opinion the great bulk of the Russian factions have been pretty reasonable and nice so you may want to take my words with a grain of salt. Same rules as ever apply: if you commit crimes then random folks looking for scents might pick them up and kill you, you'll want to know your neighbors so that if anything happens if you someone nearby that can help with ramming a wall or whatever, and if you decide to trade with someone who you don't know and who has no reputation then start small because they very well might rob you.

No real faction wars going on, just people harassing each other and making a big deal over nothing as per usual.
