While I'm starting up Heaven and Hearth for the first time today, I’m an MMO player and a student. Like most of you I have been a part of several MMO’s in the past, my firsts being Mortal Online and Darkfall, games which are obviously inspired by UO.

Playing Darkfall for the month because it was $5 on the steam sale.

I've been playing with a guy from haven and he's showed me a bit but it just seems to translate into killing the same things forever

Jordan, I don't play Darkfall currently. I quit back before this newest version (the "unholy wars" part of its title) was added in. I had a lot of fun back then, and I later tried the update but had a hard time getting into it.

The game had a huge grind (probably still does, but I know it is not as extreme now). But I loved the threat of danger at every corner and the promise of one day getting back at all those who ganked me. I would give it a try, if you can.

I noticed from the survey, that i'm not the griefer I used to be, due to social pressures. We all have a dark side in us however, and I think if I had no trade business, and didn't care about how i'm perceived, then I would probably go back to murdering haveners to keep me busy. As it stands now, i'm more like an upstanding citizen when I play.

This survey makes me think of mortal online. You can troll SOOO hard in that game... At least haven you cant grief people you cant find, which is most of them.
