Best way to set up a 3 person village?

Postby cyrus9586 » Wed Jul 16, 2014 1:34 am

Okay so I have 2 characters and I have my little brother who has joined me in H&H. That being said I am trying to be as efficient as possible and would like some pointers on attribute and skill distribution.
Char 1 miner/smithing work/hunter:
Marksmanship
Explore:35(mainly for mussels)
Smithing
Survival
Carpentry
Attributes:
Str
Per
Dxt
Full Industry

Char 2 Explorer/sewing/leather
Explore
Sewing
Survival
Attributes:
Perception
No idea on rest
Full industry (was already there I had restarted fresh)

Char 3 Farmer:
Cooking
Farming
Survival
Attributes:
No idea on this one
Full nature for obvious reason

Any tips or advice would be great before we get too far into how we are right now and mess up our attributes or sink unneeded points into skills we don't need.

Edit: Also if it would be wise to add a forth or something please let me know we have more than enough space and time to add another person wither with one of our accounts or something.

Hello! First thing, this should probably be posted in the How Do I part of the forums. Seconldy , I assume ur talking about a three character village not a 3 person village? because normaly ppl have many accounts with many characters but are still only one person. :P

What i would recomend pretty much straight of the bat would be to keep the explorer and hunting skills on one character. That way whn he dies (and u normally die alot on hunters/explorers etc.) u will not lose vital production skills (sew/carp/cooking etc.). mainly just go marksman/exp/survival on that one. add some UA later for protection.

Second char a Miner, this one will also die a few times to trolls n boulders n what have u. No real need to do anything LP-wise but i usually do some smithing because it will have high str so just easy to make the metalthings with it.

3rd, and i usually do 4th, char will be farmer/crafter. This is th hard char to make. Here i keep all my crafting skills. High dex/psy/int/per, high cooking, survival, farming, carpentry n what nots. Th reason i usually split it up is because it takes long to get the stats up. So i usually go pure farmer on one (or farmer/survival cooking) and use the other char as crafter.

Also don't forget to use keyalt. An alt in some armor (so he wont get slinged) that u keep the keys to. This is so u dont take keys with u outside palisade when hunting. Because free keys are better for raiders then if they have to bash (no need to make it to easy, ey? :P).

And i'd also start on a fighter or two, depending on how ur doing with curios. Mainly going Str/Agi/Con and UA/MC.

That would be my ONE person, 6 chars, setup when starting fresh. Then i usualy add more chars for keeping claims and idols and random tuff i realize i need later.

Best wishes, don't die to much -and most importantly never give up! :D

I agree with ydex, i splitted up even more , i have one char for surv/carp, one pure farmer, and a crafter with a bt of surv/carp aswell , but mainly cooking&sew and psy/dex ofc.

Edit: Mining alt & Explorer should be full industry, farmer and crafter full nature

+ 1 character for the lawspeaking of the the village. Don't let this one die.
+ 1 disposable trading alt.
+ 1 key alt in some armor.
+ 1 storage alt with tsacks, merch robes and backpack, to keep your most valuable stuff, or just stuff that's hard to get, like steel.

Always assume all your active characters will die to people or to foolishness. Set up your alts in a way that you can make a quick recovery. And enjoy the game.

yea didnt think about the how do i section. And yes this is 2 players and how ever many characters we need.
I got the idea now of what all should be done just need to execute it and yes I do have a key alt just working on iron/steel armor for him now.
