Beyonddiet.com is a shitty spam site.

A while ago some spambot posted a blurb on our forums (since moved to Hel), about a site called "beyonddiet.com" (a promising name), which currently points to a site about rafting in Colorado (how many failed scams/"business ventures" later?). This would be just another day in Paradise if it were not for the fact that the owners of that site have now contacted me twice, with the following message.

Hi Admin,

This is the second email attempt for link removal. My name is Linda and I work for Beyond Diet. Right now, there are links on your site pointing back to beyonddiet.com that we would like to have removed due to violation of Google guidelines.

These links were placed on your site by a third party which has now landed us in a bad spot with Google. We are trying to rectify this third party's mistakes and would greatly appreciate your help in this. Please let us know when the links have been re​moved. We will be submitting a disavow report to Google and it would be beneficial to both of our sites if you could help us remove those links before the report is submitted, otherwise we will be forced to place your site on the disavow report as per Google's guidelines. Thank you again for your help in the matter.

The first time I simply reported this to Google as a phishing attempt through Gmail's native report functions (I did that now as well), but this time I figured that the owners of this site deserve any and all herostratic fame I can give them, and hence I decided to make this post.

In short: These baboons pay some spambot service in New Delhi to plaster their URL all over our forums, which has had the presumably unintended consequence of giving them a bad rep with Google, a problem they would now like our aid in fixing, which they demand under the "threat" (I, of course, am quivering down to my bootspurs) of disavowing us with Google!

I imagine at this point it's the principle of the matter. They went out of their way to spam the forum and now are threatening the forum if we don't comply with them. So, yeah, fuck them. =)

google disavow tool is literally just a text file you upload to google's webmaster tools so that you can not have those links from other sites count for/against you in ranking your site
