Best way to find people in game

So Iv'e been playing Haven and Hearth on and off for a while and I just made a new character. I was wondering what the best way to find people who are willing to help you is. Iv'e never really gotten too far into the game and haven't every been powerful. But In was wondering if their are people out their who help players like me.

tbh there are not many people that helps noobs alot of people quit playing cuz w7 is old so if u play now all u will find is bandits and murderers
i guess wait for haven 2 or maybe maaaaaybe w8

There is a lot of nice people willing to help at any stage of the game (I'd even say there are more at later stages), you can search D&T for recruiting villages or friends, use this thread if you have any questions, try IRC - irc.synirc.net, #haven, #haven2 (or global chat, if you use Ender), there is also skype chat, so you can ask someone to add you there.

Never wait for next world to start playing, unless it is announced and going to happen within a week. You can wait for months and years and there is not much of a point, unless you are after some easy first days kills.

Best way to find people is by leaving scents.

If you can, have trustworthy people you know outside of haven join you, it's your best bet and if they're new as well they probably won't want to ditch you with half your stuff and face the world alone.

If you use Enders I would suggest using the global chat feature (#haven2 on synirc.net if you have/use an outside IRC client). Usually nice people there, although it's a fairly quiet channel often.
