New World

Hey there. Forgive me if this is an annoying question, but me and like 10 of my friends would like to start playing here, though we would prefer to wait for a new world to start. Is there any way to know when this will happen or is it just random? Even if it is somewhat random, is there a decent chance of a new world starting before the end of this year?

Oh and one last question...how is the lag? Better? I played a bit during world 5 and the only thing that put me off was the lag.

I don't think that there will be any resets as long as devs are working on hafen, and there's actually no lag for almost all the time

No lag but you don't have to take our word for it, the homepage has a Lag-o-meter on it now.
World resets are never planned and only occur when catastrophic hardware or software failure occurs. There are no indications of this happening.
This world is slated to continue running concurrently with Hafen, so even after that is released there is no planned world reset.
